The Annual Report 2014-15
From the Principal's Desk
The annual report showcases the achievements and glories of our school over the year which has been a tremendous year for us, thanks to the hard work and persistence of all the members of the school who have worked as a close knit family.
Our students are the blueprints of our ultimate achievements. Hence we have always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic development of the child's personality.
We believe that the aim of education is not only the knowledge of facts, but also of values.
The new academic year began with the office bearers of the student council 2015-16 who donned their responsibilities as school leaders and pledged loyalty to the schools tradition.
In today's fiercely competitive scenario, being a book worm alone does not suffice. To help the students exhibit their multifarious talents, students were encouraged to participate in various competitions during the academic year that included English, Kannada and Hindi Debate, Elocution, Extempore, news reading, poster making and Art competition in which the students participated zealously.
The Sri P.K.Bheemaiah Literary fest was introduced with a array of events which provided a platform to various schools in the neighbourhood to visit D.E.S and which brought forth the splendid genius attributes of the students who participated in the event. There was a stiff competition among the finalists who reached into the finals after a series of preliminary rounds and ultimately, the best ones emerged as the championsi.e Aditi Mallalya School and the Daffodils English School. Special assembly and morning assembly were conducted to inculcate ethical values in our students to emphasis the importance of associations like World Health Day, Earth Day, World Environment Day, Teacher's Day, Founders Day, and Children's Day.
The key to a healthy mind in a healthy body was infused in the students during the sports week. A variety of thrilling athletic events and for games were conducted to install sportsmanship and team spirit among one and all. The carnival was another colorful and exclusive event in which the students enjoyed thoroughly. The delicious delicacies from the stalls and the array of enthralling games organized for them. Many mile stones have been achieved, many still have to be reached. We at Daffodils English School, will continue our unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities with confidence and zeal, befitting the standards of this portal of education.
As we are into another new academic year, we strive to make a determined commitment to present the schools heritage that is a vital link to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational and economic legacies – all the key ingredients that make us what we are.
We will live up to our school motto: DO WELL ALL YOU DO.
